The Floodline® Oil Leak Detection Sensor can be used as part of a larger Floodline® installation or as a stand-alone dedicated oil leak detection system.
The design is a compact and robust unit suitable for vertical or horizontal mounting and the alarm is activated through contact with oil or any conductive liquid.
Supplied with a stainless steel Floodline® Guard Plate to provide heavy-duty physical protection and for fixing and easy adjustment.
The Floodline® Oil Leak Detection Sensor can connect in any number and combination with other Floodline® sensors and Floodline® control panels. Suited to applications such a internal oil tanks, plant rooms, pump sets, back-up generators and any area where there is a potential risk of oil leakage.
The Floodline® Oil Leak Detection Sensor is a multiple re-use product and can be instantly returned to use after a leak is cleared. Constructed with a high density plastic body, stainless steel and nickel-plated brass probes and housed in Floodline® stainless steel Guard Plate with an encapsulation option for immersion proofing.
Floodline Ranger® Hydrocarbon Distance Measuring Leak Detection Cable detects the presence of liquid hydrocarbon fuels over a range of both distance measuring and shorter areas at any point along its length and does does not react to the presence of water. Installed with a Floodline Ranger® Leak Detection Module, the cable senses a hydrocarbon liquid leak, triggers an alarm and pinpoints the location of the leak to within a metre.
Floodline Ranger® provides distributed leak detection and location for a wide range of applications. The cable is available in a variety of lengths to provide as much coverage as required up to 1500 metres.
The modular sensing cables can be connected in series to provide distributed distance measuring for applications such as trenches, sub-floors, double-containment pipework or used individually for double-containment tanks, sumps and shorter lengths and smaller areas.
Floodline Ranger® uses radiation-crosslinking and conductive-polymer technology to make the sensing cable mechanically strong and chemically resistant. The core of the cable has two sensing wires, an alarm signal wire and a continuity wire. The core is encased in a conductive-polymer jacket and surrounded with a fluoropolymer braid. The rugged construction guarantees reliable performance in the most demanding environments.
The cable must be replaced after exposure to hydrocarbon liquids.
The cable is resistant to chemical exposure in accordance with ASTM D 543 at +23°C (+73°F) for seven days including sulphuric acid (10%), hydrochloric acid (10%), nitric acid (10%) and sodium hydroxide (10%).
The cable is resitant to water less than 10μA leakage when immersed in salt water for 90 days.
Floodline Ranger® Leak Detection Cable is approved for installation in hazardous areas when used in conjunction with Floodline Ranger® Leak Detection Module and Zener safety barriers when appropriate.
The Floodline® DP01 Pipe-in-Pipe Oil Sensor is designed for liquid and oil leak detection in double containment cavities in pipes and tanks. The DP01 was developed by Andel in collaboration with Durapipe, one of the world’s largest double containment pipework manufacturers.
DP01 can work as part of a stand-alone leak detection system or can be connected singly or in multiples to any Floodline® Control Panel as part of a larger leak detection installation.
The sensor uses infra-red technology to detect the presence of any liquid touching the sensor dome. When liquid is detected in a double-containment cavity the relay within the local control unit will turn off which is detected by a monitoring system or a Floodline® Control Panel. The relay will also turn off if the sensor becomes disconnected or if there is a power failure.
The sensor consists of two components, the sensor head and the control box. The control box is the interface between a central Floodline® Control Panel or other monitoring system capable of monitoring volt-free contacts. The sensor head is encapsulated and supplied in either a 0.5 inch or 1 inch BSP socket for fitting into the outer pipe at the lowest point or within a specially fitted catchpot. Both the sensor and the control box are IP65 rated.
The Floodline® DP01 Pipe-in-Pipe Oil Sensor is a multiple re-use product with instant return to use after wiping clean following a leak detection.
