The Floodline RGD1601 Refrigerant Gas Detector can be a stand-alone refrigerant gas detection system or connected to Floodline alarm panel as part of a larger leak detection installation. The unit can be calibrated to detect any one of R134a, R410a, R407c or R404a refrigerant gases.

To comply with the requirements of the HSE Occupational Exposure Limits, the sensitivity control is set to 1000ppm gas to air mixture and is user adjustable. The unit is fitted with a volt-free contact to any Floodline control and alarm panel and other monitoring systems and has visual and audible alarms and operating modes.

Applications include VRV air conditioning systems, refrigeration compressor packs, machine and plant rooms, air conditioning and ventillation service tunnels, hotel bedrooms and DX split air conditioning units.

Floodline RGD1601 Refrigerant Gas Detector provides continuous monitoring of an area for a build up of the specific refrigerant gas above the preset level. When a leak is detected, visual and audible warnings are given and an alarm activated at the central Floodline control panel.

The Floodline RGD1601 Refrigerant Gas Detector can be preset to different modes of operation. During normal operation the sensor unit will calculate the ambient refrigerant gas concentration and adjust the alarm threshold according to the adjustable sensitivity.

The behaviour of the unit when a leak is detected can be adjusteded to suit the application. The audible alarm buzzer, when the unit goes into alarm, can be enabled or disabled. The unit can also be set to deactivate the alarm when it no longer detects a gas concentration higher than the calibrated threshold. The unit can be mounted at a suitable height based on the requirements of the area or room being monitored and the specified refrigerant gas.

Floodline Digital Gas Detection System (DGDS) Multi-Gas Sensor +-
  • Continuous monitoring for presence of pre-specified gas
  • Semiconductor sensors can be calibrated to detect a single gas froma range of commercially used gases
  • Gases include ammonia, butane, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, hydrogen, methane, natural gas, propane and the range of commercial refrigerant gases
  • Applications can include hotels, offices, public buildings and any space at risk from the emission of specified toxic, explosive or refrigerant gases
  • Multi-Gas Sensor uses RS485 or volt-free contact for onward communication
  • Keeps testing to monitor with 3 levels of indication in conjunction with the Visual Indicator
  • Calibration is carried out at a calibration laboratory in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025
  • Industrial enclosures and ATEX versions are available

The Floodline DGDS Multi-Gas Sensor range provides continuous monitoring for the presence of specified gases in enclosed spaces. The sensor performs periodic measurement of the concentration of a given gas in the ambient atmosphere.

The Multi-Gas Sensor can be calibrated to detect a chosen single gas from a range of commercially used gases including ammonia, butane, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, hydrogen, methane, natural gas, propane and the range of commercial refrigerant gases

Exceeding the prescribed concentration values produces an audible and visible alarm and a change in the status of the output contacts. The Multi-Gas Sensor uses RS485 and volt-free contact for onward communication. Industrial enclosures and ATEX verisons are available.

Typical applications include hotels, offices, public buildings and buildings with spaces at risk from the emission of specified toxic, explosive or refrigerant gases.

All gas sensors are calibrated in a calibration laboratory in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025.

Floodline Digital Gas Detection System (DGDS) MDD-256/T Control Unit +-
  • The control unit oversees the DGDS
  • Works with a range of detectors and control modules
  • The unit periodically checks the detectors for leaks
  • A gas leak detection will trigger an alarm and activate output relays and signalling devices
  • Alarm information is via RS485
  • The unit controls up to 224 detectors and up to 21 control units over a limit of seven zones

The micro-processor controlled module MDD-256/T is designed to oversee the DGDS. The control unit works with a range of detectors and control modules using RS485.

The unit periodically checks detectors in the network for gas leaks, which is when the preset gas concentration levels are exceeded. In the event of a gas leak, the opto-acoustic alarm is activated, output relays become active and any attached signalling devices are activated.

Alarm information is via industry standard RS485.

The unit controls up to 224 detectors and up to 21 control units over a limit of seven zones. Communication with detectors is via RS485, standard galvanically separated. A second RS485 channel allows communication with other external control systems.

The unit is ready to mount on a standard TS35 rail cabinet and requires 24VDC supply. The control unit has an LED indicator and is equipped with a face-mounted keyboard. Configuration of the module settings can be set up manually through the MDD-256/T master control module or alternatively with special configuration software on a PC.

Floodline Digital Gas Detection System (DGDS) MDD-L32/T Visual Indicator +-
  • Provides monitoring of up to 32 detectors within a DGDS
  • Up to 7 Visual Indicators can be combined
  • Controls other executive and signalling devices through contact outputs
  • Communicates with the MDD-256/T master control module via industry standard RS485
