BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Method) is the world’s leading sustainability and environmental assessment standard for the built environment lifecycle – from new construction to in-use and refurbishment.
In the rigorous assessment procedure, credits are given for performance indicators in a range of areas. BREEAM does this through third-party certification of the assessment of a building’s environmental, social and economic sustainability performance, using standards developed by BRE. This means BREEAM-rated buildings are more sustainable environments that enhance the wellbeing of the people who live and work in them, as well as help protect natural resources.
BREEAM certification demonstrates best environmental practice, an initiative to minimise environmental impact and importantly a standard that shows a business or organisation’s commitment to an environmental agenda. Businesses and organisations choose BREEAM certification because it helps them deliver and validate the sustainability value of their assets, cost effectively and to an internationally recognised and robust standard, tried and tested since it was first launched in 1990.
The FLOODLINE Breeameter™ System offers flow monitoring and water leak detection in line with the defined BREEAM standards WAT02 and WAT03 and can earn BREEAM credits subject to a successful audit by an authorised third-party assessor.
WAT02 water monitoring – The aim of WAT02 is to ensure water consumption can be monitored and managed, and therefore encourage reductions.
One credit – Compliant water monitoring system
WAT03 water leak detection and prevention – The aim of WAT03 is to reduce the impact of water leaks that may otherwise go undetected.
One credit - Compliant leak detection system
One credit - Compliant flow control devices
The FLOODLINE Breeameter™ is a robust and reliable major water leak detection and high-usage alarm system.
FLOODLINE Breeameter™ uses two flow meters, the limits of which can be set on installation and commissioning, and actively monitor the mains water supply to buildings. One flow meter is situated at the site boundary and the other within the building after the stopcock (the control tap for your mains water supply). The programmable, wall-mounted control panel has a simple, interactive push-button LCD display with audible buzzer alarm. All alarms are displayed continuously until corrected and reset on the system.
The system monitors the pipework between the external and internal flow meters for leaks and uses the flow rates and volumes from the internal flow meter to identify excessive water usage.
FLOODLINE Breeameter™ can help to achieve recognition and credits with BREEAM assessment and certification.
The Andel FLOODLINE™ leak detection system provides the perfect solution to protect any building of any size and with the option of Breeameter™ equipment that meets the requirements of BREEAM water monitoring, water leak detection and water flow control. Andel Breeameter™ can be integrated into a larger FLOODLINE™ leak detection system, or installed as a stand-alone water flow monitoring system.

BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Method) is the world’s leading sustainability and environmental assessment standard for the built environment lifecycle – from new construction to in-use and refurbishment. Versions are updated regularly in line with UK Building Regulations and different building versions have been created since its launch to assess various building types.
The Floodline Breeameter® system offers flow monitoring and water leak detection in line with the defined standards “W02” and “W03” and can aid in the accumulation of credits subject to a successful audit by an authorised assessor.
