Founded in 1992, Andel has steadily grown to become one of the global market leaders in the design, development and application of specialist leak detection and environmental protection systems.
Andel has gained an enviable reputation in its field for innovation and cutting-edge research and development. By listening to customers and understanding their challenges and with many years of practical, hands-on experience, the Andel team has developed unrivalled commercial knowledge and a common sense, cost-effective approach.
For over a quarter of a century, Andel has worked across all major industry sectors for customers in the UK and globally, including names such as:
Andel provides consultation, design, manufacturing, installation and services for four key specialist areas:
Andel FLOODLINE™ is a unique, award winning, BMS compatible water, oil and gas leak detection system for uninsurable risk locations within the built environment.
Andel FLOODLINE™ systems set the international benchmark for reliability, durability, effectiveness and value for money. Installed in important and sensitive areas of a building, Andel FLOODLINE™ sensors and detectors send an immediate warning of leaks likely to cause asset damage, service disruption, system failure and major loss. Andel FLOODLINE™ is made in the UK and shipped around the globe. Some of the world’s biggest brands rely on Andel for advice, design, product selection, installation, maintenance and a range monitoring and alarm equipment.
Working with some of the largest public and private sector organisations in the UK and internationally, we are committed to enabling customers to save money, remain compliant, maintain operational efficiency and meet their green objectives.
Both in the UK and across the world, ever-changing environmental legislation continually raises the stakes. In the UK, for instance, the Groundwater and Oil Storage Regulations now make causing pollution and non-compliance into criminal offences. All site operators must take this seriously and need to understand their obligations, challenges and solutions – which is where Andel comes in.
Andel offers a comprehensive package of ‘one-stop’ customer support – from site survey and inspections to equipment selection, design, installation, certification, decommission and tank repair, gauges, alarms, pipework, bunds and treatment of the oil itself. All our engineers and inspectors are OFTEC qualified
Andel’s scope is broad for the maintenance of petrol, oil and lubricants (POL) storage and includes a range of highly specialist services and equipment to give total peace of mind to customers.
Andel provides a comprehensive service for underground interceptors and related surface water drainage. Our engineers are trained to carry out their work to the highest standards, including interceptor commissioning, filter changing and confined space entry.
We inspect and certify, we carry out full drainage trace surveys and mapping (as required by the emergency services) as well as drain-condition surveys using state-of-the-art technology such as robot-mounted CCTV and industry-leading WinCan software.
We provide a highly cost-effective and friendly service, focusing on inspection first, avoiding where possible, the use of expensive tankers if not required. We tailor the service to suit the need, we use de-watering tankers that only take away contaminants, not grey water.
Andel reduces costs by reducing waste and ensures that all types of interceptors, separators and surface water drainage systems are maintained and working properly. Andel’s experienced operators have detailed and hands-on, practical knowledge so customers can rely on Andel to get it right.
Andel provides innovative and cost-effective flood defence and flood alert systems. From Andel FloodDefender™, a low-cost, perimeter flood defence that delivers long-term peace of mind, to FloodAlert™, a cost-effective, real-time, early local flood alert system.
Flood protection is the most recent addition to Andel’s areas of expertise and has developed as a response to the effects of climate change and the growing risk of flooding due to rising sea levels, coastal erosion and increasingly severe and frequent rainstorms.
