Andel’s award winning Floodline Leak Detection equipment has been installed in many historic and heritage buildings such as Windsor Castle, Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Marlborough House, St. James Palace, Peterhouse College and the British Library to protect against potentially damaging leaks from water services. Due to the design of older historic & heritage buildings, services such as heating & cooling pipework and plantrooms may have been installed in a seemingly haphazard way.

Water Leak Detection systems are often installed within these buildings to protect the actual fabric & structure of the building, i.e. ornate ceilings, walls and floors etc., as well as offering protection and an early warning before major damage is caused to valuable and even priceless antiques and works of art displayed within the building.
The very nature of these buildings makes the installation of any modern systems difficult.

The flexibility of the Floodline system, its wide range of sensors and the ability to make it as unobtrusive as possible makes Floodline ideal for these types of buildings. Floodline Control Panels are installed to suit the application, either small stand-alone Single Zone systems, or much larger Multi-Zone Control Panels, offering the capability for reporting back to central BMS monitoring systems using either volt-free contacts or RS232/485 Comms.

“We have a duty to care for and protect the buildings in our charge. By their very nature historic buildings often have historic services within them. The Floodline leak detection installed in critical areas has proved it’s worth more than once.”
